NICE TO MEET YOU!
Hello • Bonjour • Hola • ä½ å¥½ • Hej • مرØبا • Салам
Sophie Clifton-Tucker
Sophie has taught all around the world, from Oxford to Sydney, Auckland, and even Tokyo. Moving back to her hometown of Gibraltar in 2016, Sophie took her experiences and poured them all into Little English, which has now successfully become Gibraltar's leading language school.

CO-FOUNDER, MANAGING DIRECTOR
CO-FOUNDER, DIRECTOR OF STUDIES
Chris Hedley
Chris began his teaching career a decade ago, after traversing the globe (54 countries and counting!). While living in New Zealand, Chris completed his teacher training and went on to teach at various schools in the area, before relocating to Gibraltar to help form Little English.

HEAD OF SPANISH
Angy
After living in London for 9 years, Angy moved back to her homeland, Spain, where she prepared students for Cambridge PET and FCE exams whilst running a small language academy. She has now been part of the Little English team for over 5 years, and is loved by all her students—and colleagues!. Her interactive (and dangerously fun) lessons make sure her students keep coming back for more each year.
LANGUAGE TUTOR
Tamara
Tammy was an A* student herself, so she knows exactly how to get the best out of her learners. After teaching privately in Gibraltar, we scooped her up in 2019 to come and teach at Little English. Tammy is an avid reader of literature, and as a result she has been a great tutor to our GCSE English students, helping our teens to find the joy in some of the old classics.

HEAD OF ENGLISH
Agnes
Agnes worked as an English language teacher and Cambridge ESOL examiner in Malta and Poland. She also taught in Belgium and Ireland before relocating to Gibraltar. Agnes has been teaching with us since the very start; her extensive experience and permanently smiley face are a big hit with students, young and old alike. She is known for bringing in unidentifiable treats from her holiday jaunts for everyone to sample—watch out for the spices!
SPANISH TUTOR
Miguel
Miguel is a native Spanish teacher who has been teaching continuously since 2008. After obtaining his teacher qualification from UCA, Miguel worked at the Sotogrande Summer Camp for six years and Andrew John's Academy and Centro Elea, both in La Línea. He has always enjoyed teaching his native language and seeing his students' interest not only in the language but also in the Spanish culture. Miguel's students describe him as the human equivalent of sunshine: always smiling and warm!

LANGUAGE TUTOR
Ian
Ian spent 10 years teaching high school Spanish and French in the USA, followed by another 10 years teaching English and Spanish in France, Oman, Lithuania, Ukraine, and the Bahamas. He's fluent in English, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, and Portuguese...phew! Now part of the Little English family, Ian will help you swim in your second language by developing your conversational skills and boosting your confidence. Wooho!
SPANISH TUTOR
Estrella
Estrella has been teaching Spanish to kids and adults of all ages and abilities at Little English since 2020 (something good to have come out of that dreaded year!). Before this, she taught Hebrew in Venezuela, as well as Religious Studies. Estrella is a ball of energy and well liked by her students.
ENGLISH TUTOR
Camelia
Camelia graduated from a prestigious university in her country, Romania, with a BA in Philology, Foreign Languages and Literatures: English and Spanish. She then started teaching English as a Foreign Language at public schools and high schools, working with kids of different ages (6-18) until she decided to move to Gibraltar. Working as a Teacher for Little English and as a Self-Employed Translator and living in Gibraltar, Camelia describes life as 'a continuous holiday'.
